To prevent is to keep something from happening, which is exactly what we want to do with diseases, sickness, pain, etc. In order to prevent sickness and promote optimal wellness, it is necessary to
learn how to take care of our bodies in such a way that we never have before.
Nutrition, the first thing I want to know about; what are you putting in your mouth? What are you feeding your body? We have to stop eating junk and start eating nutritious foods that bring life to every cell in the body. We have to find time to get in physical movement, and learn how to relax and laugh. Keeping your body in a state of optimum health is prevention in itself. We may not be able to prevent every cold or headache, but what if a healthier lifestyle could prevent heart disease, diabetes, or even cancer? What if healthier choices helped your body better fight colds, flu, and other more minor issues with greater effect? What if? Then would you try it? Then would putting down the soda and picking up the water be worth it?
What if prevention is key to a long, healthy life; and what if choosing the right foods, the right supplements, and the right activities all play a role in prevention? Just ask yourself, would it be worth it?
Here we talk overall lifestyle and supplement therapy. We work to get your body in its healthiest state. Education on how, what, why, and when is essential, and that is where a Naturopathic consultation can help you achieve healthy living for a lifetime. Do not go at it alone; we are here to help, and we meet you where you are.
Botanical medicine is using plants as medicine to bring healing, restoration, health to the body. Some people know it as phytotherapy or herbal medicine. Plants have been used for their medicinal and therapeutic properties for centuries. Even in the Bible you hear of the frankincense and myrrh being brought to Jesus as gifts. Herbs hold much value in the field of Naturopathic Medicine, where they are generally used to increase energy, combat infection, promote healing, reduce pain, aide in sleep, encourage relaxation, and bring healing and wellness to the various organs of the body.
Herbs are a wonderful source of natural medicine, because they are in themselves, food, which works to treat the whole person. This is especially true when combination herbs are used to treat a specific condition. There are many conditions that herbs are used for in naturopathic medicine, which include but is not limited to the following: headache, heart health, insomnia, headaches/migraines, PMS, gas, bloating, digestive issues, colds, allergies, ADD, cough, anxiety, depression, adrenal fatigue, mental fatigue, acne, etc. Herbs can be given in several different forms, including: tincture, solid extract, tea, powder, or salve.
”Like cures like.” Homeopathy may be one of the most difficult modalities to explain, and even more difficult to believe until you see it work! Once you see homeopathy do what it does best, which is heal, you quickly become a believer in the power of the “sugar pill”, as many call it.
Homeopathy may be best described by using an example, and the best example is to think of the symptoms that cutting an onion causes. When you cut an onion your nose starts to run and your eyes tear up, similar to allergies or a cold. So, in order to promote healing you would then take allium cepa (onion) in its homeopathic form (greatly diluted), for runny nose and watery eyes, because like cure like. Since allium cepa, which is onion, produces these type of symptoms it is known to
heal these symptoms as well. Like cures like and less is more is the simplest way to think about homeopathy.
Homeopathy is safe and effective. Remedies are recommended based on the patient history and symptoms. It works on an energetic level to bring healing to the body. Homeopathy is great for all ages, even pets!

Facial rejuvenation (acupuncture) is an ancient beauty method that is gaining much popularity among many. It has become a “secret” of the stars of Hollywood, and is quickly kicking more invasive procedures to the curb as an effective alternative.
Facial rejuvenation is a form of acupuncture that is specific to transforming the skin of the face. It uses tiny needles that work to rebuild collagen, help tone the facial muscles, and nourish the skin by improving overall circulation, including blood and lymph circulation. Imagine doing all this without using harsh chemicals or undergoing invasive surgeries.
Everyone is different, but you can expect to do at least 6-10 treatments twice a week initially. Following the initial treatment, you can then expect to do one treatment a week for the 6 weeks. Maintenance follow-up treatments may be recommended once a month in order to enhance the results. Beautiful changes are usually noticed within the first six treatments. Results vary, but many people see slight changes in their complexion following their first treatment, noted as a healthy glow to their skin.
An amazing way to work on many issues, pain being the most common. The microcurrent device is similar to a TENS but works on different fibers of the nervous system, called C-fibers, which stimulate different neuropeptides as well as other regulatory peptides, helping the body to heal itself.
