NO PROOF OF INCOME IS NECESSARY, SIMPLY PAY WHAT YOU CAN
CSAcu operates entirely on a sliding-scale fee structure. We’ve done so from the beginning and have no intention of changing. The sliding-scale allows people what they can afford, because we know that there are numerous obstacles to prioritizing your health and we’d like to minimize the financial one. Bear in mind that this is a community-based organization, and it means that we are all in this together. Those that can afford more are helping to sustain those that can’t.
Neither proof of income nor explanations are necessary – simply pay what you can. It’s a sort of honor system.
With that said, sometimes people feel a little confused still about what is appropriate in terms of compensation. You as a client want to honor the treatment you’ve received but don’t want to break your bank. Below is a little guide that may help you reach your conclusion about what you can pay, but it is not intended to be definitive. At the end of the day, you make the decision that you feel comfortable with, and that works for us.
